Pachnoda marinata peregrina and temprature

I'm shortly going to be in possession of an adult Pachnoda marinata peregrina. I'm just wondering, do you guys have any particular experience with these beetles in terms of temperature? Are they content at room temperature or do they need a heat source? I've heard they need a source of heating, but I'd like to clarify this.

More like impossible to kill. This species can withstand poor substarte, lack of humidity, extreme temps and what not.

Oh, ok. I was thinking of getting a heatmat just in case, I'll see how it does at the temperature of my house. Thank you.

Yep, I've already been feeding it banana. I've got some beetle jellies I plan to give to it occasionally too. Only problem I've been having is the banana going mouldy. Is that a problem for the beetle or would it prefer it like that?

Bananas usually should be removed from the enclosure after the beetle finishes eating. When you mentioned "Or would it prefer it like that", you are probably thinking along the lines that many scarabs and rhinoceros beetles like rotting fruit. Moldy fruit is not equal to rotting fruit, so the beetles would prefer overripe bananas, not moldy ones.
