Nematodes with Pupae?

Hey everyone, I have some nematodes in my dorcus antaeus larvae's enclosure. She's setting up her pupal chamber, so will they be a problem? She probably won't be eating much more flake, but maybe the decomposing flake will cause issues with the pupae?

Thanks!

Hmmm... I've had to deal with nematodes recently. I don't believe they effect the larvae's  but I don't know if they effect the pupa.

Can you post a photo so we can get an idea of how many nematodes there are?

1. If nematodes can attack pupa directly, then moving the pupa to an artificial pupa chamber is best.

2. If there aren't a lot of nematodes and we learn that they don't harm pupas, then you can probably leave it as is.

3. If they don't harm pupa, but there are a lot of nematodes, or will be a lot, then moving to an artificial pupa chamber maybe the best.

These are just my thoughts on it. Hope it helps a little!

There aren't really that many, I'll try and get a picture later, but I fear that during a 1-2 month pupal period they might grow in number.

I totally forgot to take a picture, but I've been checking on the jar and there really aren't that many. I thought there were way more but I guess I remembered wrong.

Well that's good, but there population can grow pretty quickly. I think for me, it took about 1 or 2 months before the population really exploded, and the container was filled with them. So just keep a close eye on it!
