Need help identifying beetle larvae!!

As the title says I need help identifying some beetle larvae I found while out hunting today. Any care tips would be helpful too, and yes they were found inside a log.

Very possibly, they are Pelidnota punctata.

That's what I first thought they were, but I'm not sure

In any case, their morphology is a match for either Rutelinae or Melolonthinae. Since they were found in a log, they are most likely Pelidnota, or some other ruteline (such as Cotalpa), as the larvae of melolonthines are usually (though not always) found in soil.
