my little rugose

hardshell

Mecynorrhina
so if you have been following my post, i have collected 3 pairs from the wild... in WA... i accidentally woke them up from dormancy and it laid some eggs.... about 20-30 depending on female size.... then it died shortly... now they became L1 and i think some became L2??? enjoy there is only few people who actually is interested in rugose stags... i cant find any info on breeding... but this seems to work the best... rotten pine and alder on the bottom of the container and fill the gap with rotten pine, alder sawdust... - no fermented saw dust... i tried 30 percent fermented saw dust and 70 percent rotten pine and it works pretty good... the ;arvae actually dont eat it but it will use it to dig out of a log to move into other logs... then place more logs and fill the gap... repeat process until you dont have any space...
