Mold on logs?

I have some logs in my D. tityus enclosure and found that they are growing mold. Is this detrimental to the beetle's health? I figure I could heat-treat them again to kill the mold, but does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

should be ok. if you heat treat, the mold will still grow back later. I think there are just too many spores in the air.

Usually when there is mold growing on a log, I just scrape off as much as I can. I make sure to do this outside wearing a mask, no shirt, and shorts. After I'm done with the procedure, I put whatever clothes I had on in the washer and then I take a shower.
