Mallodon dasystomus or hardwood stump borer

I caught what I believe are Mallodon dasystomus or hardwood stump borers (tried to post pics, but the upload fails every time). I was hoping someone on here could tell me what the adults eat.

i'm not sure but try feeding them fruits like apples? if that doesnt work then it's either they eat oak wood or they eat other insects.
