I recently discovered a good supply of oak logs trimmed from trees near me. It means there is a variety of freshly cut, to old logs filled with termites and mushrooms.
How viable would these be for making some flake soil? I’ve always just purchased in the past, but it seems like it could be a good opportunity. I’ve got access to a chipper as well that I’d use to break them down a bit.
