I found mine under a street light across my house. Females seem to be coming out now so you should be able to find some. I am in Alabama.

well that's far away from connecticut, but I did blacklight the other day until 1am, i heard the distinctive flight noise of lucanus capreolus but i didn't catch one, what time during the night do they come out? I did find 2 males a week ago under a rotting tree

i found a minor male under that same rotting tree, i'm gonna destroy that whole tree looking through it! not saying that as if i want to, that's just what may end up happening
