looking for Lucanus elaphus adults

I am wanting a pair or male Lucanus elaphus adults.  Adults only, I have already tried raising them, and can't seem to do it.

Null and void. A very nice breeder traded me a couple males for my cocoons.

May I ask why you want Lucanus Elaphus? I don't think they are a easy species to breed either.

They are our native stag beetle, and I will probably never encounter a wild one.  As far as breeding, many other people seem to manage, and the animals do live outdoors,

so what you or I am doing wrong is a good guess.
