Larvae secreting black liquid?

Sometimes I notice that one or two larvae will secrete a black looking liquid out of their mouths or rectum when I inspect them they seem fine...just worries me. Anyone know of what this is or have experienced this?

Is this the same as reflex bleeding? Where they deliberately bleed or something to fend away possible threats or predators? It says that beetles do this at times as well so is it logical to believe larvae would as well?
