Larvae black legs

My stag beetle larvae has been just sitting at the bottom of it's container for over a month.  I checked on it today and noticed one of it's legs looked black, I think others had black tips.  I'm guessing this is not good, is he on his way out?  He's still moving.

Okay I removed all the wood substrate and I think I cracked into what seems to be his pupa chamber.  It's a lot smoother looking from the inside.  It looks like it's just one leg that is black.  The rest of his legs seem fine.

He does look like he is about to pupate though at least based on his skin texture and this site: http://maria.fremlin.de/

I'm still a bit worried but now also worried do I need to do anything to fix his pupa chamber?

Struggling to post photos lol site limit is wack but here is one of his leg, it's black maybe halfway up to the elbow, also you can see some debris fell in the chamber, any ideas on how to remove

Here was before I tilted to roll him to this side.

Sorry for spamming trying to post all these photos with the size limit.

Better photo, since he probably isn't going anywhere just cut down the container, maybe I am panicking.  I also removed the debris I could.
