Intraspecific hybridization

What do you guys think about intraspecific hybridization between Allomyrina dichotoma septentrionalis and Allomyrina dichotoma tunobosonis? I know hybridization may produce sterile offspring but I want to know what you guys think.

I'm all for keeping strains and subspecies separate to preserve bloodlines, but like Ratmosphere said, you are free to do whatever you want.

Yeah I'm not a fan of hybridization and inbreeding but I'm willing to learn more about it.

I heard someone successfully bred Dynastes grantii and Dynastes tityus hybrids in the past as well.

Interesting topic. I think the concern most people have is irresponsible containment/labeling of hybrids. The idea of someone selling a hybrid Allomyrina dichotoma septentrionalis x Allomyrina dichotoma tunobosonis as just one or the other could really disrupt things.
