Interbreed

i have male x.gideon sumatransis (7cm)and female x.gideon beckeri(4 cm) can i breed them together because the female is wild caught. i hope i can breed them

Just be sure to label any resulting offspring very clearly as hybrids, or keep them all in your possession. Hybridization is a bit risky because sometimes the hybrids look like pure-bred individuals and it can be easy to get them mixed up.

Definitely try it, though. At worst, all that'll happen is you won't get any babies.

Keep in mind that if the female is wild caught, she may already be gravid, so even if the male mates with her there is no guarantee that the offspring will be his. However, since he did mate with her, you can't mark the babies as being pure stock either, just in case.
