How to tell if Lucanus capreolus is gravid/pregnant?
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knew how to tell if a Lucanus capreolus is gravid/pregnant.
I just want to make sure my two females are indeed going to produce some larva. And so I know if I need to throw them in with some males again
lol, she won't get off my finger...
Well...I've noticed that they eat a lot before they burrow under the substrate and lay eggs.
Good luck with them
They have been digging a bit. I don't know if they have been eating more or not (I give them apples, and it seems more like they suck the juice out of it. And I don't pay attention to it
)
I hope I get pleny babies
It would be nice to have some captive bred capreolus
