I have posted about my Blue Ironclad lady before, when I noticed the strange walking. In short, this is now the third today that she is lying on her back, moving her legs. I have tried helping her get up several times but no. She falls right back over.
Backing up: a while ago both she and her male partner disappeared for a couple of weeks. I looked for them everywhere in the terrarium and finally concluded that I had left the screen off by mistake and the cat had gotten them. About a week ago first the male and then she reappeared. I was stumped. The next day and overnight she laid about seven eggs. And then the strange, uncoordinated walking started. What I figure is that they had been stuck in the Cholla skeleton, with him behind her, and she couldn’t get out but really wanted to lay those eggs, and something got damaged inside of her. Anyway, how can I help her now? It’s heart wrenching seeing her on her back but still moving her legs all the time.
