How big should P. muelleri larvae be before moving them to kinshi?

I've read they should be late L2/early L3, but I can't find any good size comparisons to figure out how long mine have before I can safely move them to kinshi bottles. Also, how long do they stay in each stage on average? I'm pretty new to P. muelleri, and would appreciate any help you guys can give!

i would recommend putting them when they are early L3.

L1 to L2 should take about 4-7 weeks, L2 to L3 should take 6-9 weeks (i actually had one that stayed L2 for 3 and a half months due to poor sub)

L3 should take about 4-9 months.

About how big are they in inches when they are at each stage? I'm not sure if mine are L1 or L2.

Hi, the L2 stadium ist the best time, to put the Larva into the kinshi.

L1 is too early, the Larva can die.

L2 ist the best time, the Larva ist strong enough for the kinshi (mycellia) and it (the Larva) have enough time to grow up.

L3 ist too late, the grub dont´t grow more enough to get a major Male.

If you put a new L2 Larva into the kinshi, give "her" a little bit from the old substrate too int the Kinshi, so she have a buffer zone.

Wich kind of species is your kinshi, i mean wich fungus ?
