Heya

Hey guys, I'm Alan! I have been into insects and arachnids my whole life but took a break from them the past few years to build a pretty large plant and seed collection. I actually study ethnobotany, which is a study of the traditional knowledge and uses of plants and humans in different cultures. Anyway I am restarting a new live insect collection from scratch and hoping to acquire and learn about different types of beetles as well as other cool inverts. Currently I just have a Wheel Bug (Arilus cristatus) and a Brown Recluse.

Can't Wait to get deeper into this fantastic hobby and learn about your'alls experiences with beetles!

Mainly houseplants and bonsai, especially caudiciforms and succulents.

Welcome, Alan. Bugs and plants are my two favs, though I devote almost no time to the latter. Time constraints! Activity levels of bugs tend to interest me a little bit more but I do have my eye on a few seeds from jreidsma's collection.
