Ok so here's my problem:
I ordered some rotted wood/leaf litter/soil substrate a week ago and thought it would have shipped by now, but it hasn't. My D. Granti larva is coming in the mail tomorrow! I have only managed to get a handfull of semi rotted oak leaves so far and I haven't been able to get out and look for rotted wood, my job has me working until 10pm. I will be able to look tomorrow before the mail gets delivered but is there a temporary housing solution I can use until the good substrate gets delivered? I feel awful but the whole deal was out of my control and the substrate won't get to me for another 2 or 3 days! I'm starting to freak out since this is my first time dealing with beetle larva and my first time being unprepared for a critters arrival. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated
