Hello From CT!

Hello, my name is Leo. I've been keeping and attempting to breed beetles for a little more than a year now. I have been on the roach forum for awhile (Roach Collector) and have decided it'd be good to join this forum to further my knowledge into breeding and keeping beetles. I have kept Dynastes tityus, Lucanus elephas (which I have just recently failed to breed), Megasoma punctulatus and ceruchus piceus. I only really keep rhino and stag beetles. I hope to learn a lot on this forum and get some really cool beetles!

I deal with most U.S. species, currently looking for a Lucanus elaphus pair. Really miss keeping that species!

I bought a pair in February, my male died in March and my female just died last week. Checked the cage and no eggs or larvae. I'm mad I wasn't successful breeding them because I was really hoping for larvae.

Welcome! Glad you made your way over here!

This is a difficult species to breed, they need the right conditions. I'm still trying to perfect the craft! Any idea what size male you had?

Thanks dude!

I pinned the male, he is 50mm. It seemed I had everything right with their setup, temperature and humidity so idk what happened with them.

I've D. tityus beetles and D. granti larvae. Also some Allomyrina dichotoma that are in the process of pupating.
