Grain Mites

how do I get rid of grain mites? they have taken over my Eleodes suturalis and Stenomorpha convexa enclosures. there are darkling beetle eggs and larvae in the substrate so I don't want to have to change the substrate, especially since I am down to one adult S. convexa, so I'm not expecting more eggs from that species this year.

Dry the enclosures out except for one corner, keep the moist area very small. Add more ventilation perhaps, and definitely lower the amount of food you are feeding them, and take out leftover food.

I usually get grain mites in my desert Tenebrionid cages because the larvae have taken food and dragged it underground, if the substrate under and around the food area is even slightly damp, grain mites will run rampant on the underground food.
