Geodorcus

Hi

Im a conservationist working in New Zealand and assessing options to save highly endangered Geodorcus species. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience of keeping and breeding any species, successfully or not.

Many thanks beetle people, in anticipation.

Geodorcus is very rare in the market...not sure if you will find much help here. maybe contact the Japanese first lol.

I have no clue about geodorcus...but..sometimes.. small stag beetles are very hard to find, but that doesn't mean they are rare or really endangered... maybe its because they like to stay deep in the logs and are not attracted to lights.

Thanks for that link Pupa. The English translation of the Japanese website makes for interesting reading!

Will try to contact the website authors....
