fungus fungus:( how do u guys control fungus on the soil and climbing branches for granti peter told me that they dont harm the beetle but there are covering the whole soil... any suggestions

if the fungus is spreading all over in the tank.. i suggest you change the substrate and the branches.

Yep, take the beetles out and change everything.

Were are you getting the soil and decor/branches?

You could try putting the soil and branches in a throw-away foil pan and pooring boiling water in it. Let it soak over night and then take the soil/branches out and let them dry. The temp. from the boiling water should kill the mold.

Also, try not to keep it overly moist/wet, and make sure there is enough air circulation.

Also, in the future is you see a tiny speck of mold growing just scoop it out and throw it away.

I will always spot clean mold out, and especially by the time it begins to carpet a tank. The main reason I do it is I don't want it spreading to other tanks and I don't personally want to expose myself or family to additional spores, etc.
