Emerging

Thank you!! How long does it take for him to harden all the way, not be so fragile, and be able to hold? A day or a few days?

You do not want to handle them right after they eclose. Give them at least a week and a half to two weeks to mature and become active then proceed to handle them.

Took this photo this morning. Looks like he is going to emerge over night or in a day or so!! Super stoked.

And actually, a quick question.. I still have the other one in the pupal chamber I made, but he seems like he wants to get out. I don't want to hurt him as he's still fragile.. should I keep him in there then? Or move him into an enclosure?

Soak some sphagnum moss in water and then ring it out. Put this in the enclosure. Then you could put the male in there. Experts say 1-2 weeks after hatching is safe but some others just put them in right after they hatch, which is odd.
