Eleodes goryi larva

Hrm... maybe that is what the adults have been doing? They love to dig holes where the potatoes and carrots are buried. Maybe they are after their babies!

I didn't think about putting them in their own container. ha! Next time I find them I will move them.

 
I checked on my larva today, man they are getting big! They have eaten all these little tunnels through the carrot bits in their cage, I couldn't find a single trace of dog food or oatmeal left at all. They are now gorging themselves on cucumber and apple slices. I can't wait to see how long these last. lol
