Eastern Hercules Beetle

I am currently raising what my entomology professor and I believe to be an eastern hercules beetle larva. I've been feeding it pieces of decaying wood I've pulled off of trees, which it has been eating. What will it eat as an adult?

If the larval size is over half dollar coin, black headed, and is from North Carolina (your given location) then yes, it probably is D. tityus. Larvae feed on from decayed wood to soil, and in captivity, you can feed "a fermented substrate," sourced out of hardwood. After couple months since its emergence to an adult, it will feed on tree sap, fruits, etc. (at outside), and you can feed piece of overripen bananas, or any other fruits, as well as beetle jellies commercially available for beetle rearing hobbies in Japan, China, Korea, and some other countries.
