Dynastes Hercules Deformity?

I was checking and weighing my larvae today and noticed one my DHH larvae seemed to have a wrinkly sort of looking texture on it. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but seems fine otherwise. Wasn't sure if anyone might have an idea what it is or cause, etc. Thanks!

You think so? It only looks to be on part of the top of the larva. Perhaps a segment deformity? I was reading Orin's book and looking at rhinoceros beetle larvae deformities. That's all I seem to have found in that source to look close. I think they molted a few weeks ago, so maybe. I'll keep my eye out for it next time I check them.

doesnt look like its about to molt.

Depends, but last I checked them was January 31. A couple weeks ago. I can't recall if it was there before or not.
