Dog food

I recently got a small bag of beef flavored treats but my Coniontis and Zophobas were repulsed, possibly because of the strong beef smell.

What kind of dog food is commonly used? Kibble that comes in large bags? Canned moist food?

Many use Baker's Complete because it does not mold fast. They place one cube at the bottom of the container. I, myself, have never tried it.

I was asking about what kind (kibble, canned, biscuit, pellet) beetles will eat, but thanks for the suggestion.

The baker's complete is canned I believe.
Unfortunately, I heard from Matt it's UK only

Bakers Complete is described as "semi-moist", it comes in dry lumps which you can squash between your fingers. If you leave it exposed to air it dries into a solid lump. Sold in boxes / plastic bags. The "Bakers Complete" formulation / brand is only sold in the UK. The company that makes it is Purina who are fairly wordwide, so it might be worth checking out if they do any "semi-moist" dog food or kibble in the UK.

The key thing about Bakers is it very rarely moulds, and if it does it does not produce huge cots of mouldy substrate.

Awesome tips. I want to try but don't want to introduce any more pests into the larvae housing.
