D. Tityus grub question

Is slow developement of Tityus grubs linked in any way to a smaller adult? Can they still become majors even though growth rate is behind schedule?

I don't think so. I kept a D. tityus larva that was about 6 month behind her siblings in growth but she became a major sized female

slow growth only has to do with the nutrition found in the substrate and the temperatures of it. On the contrary, a slow growing grub, at low temps, with a much more nutritious substrate may turn out to be much larger than another grub in warmer temps under the same substrate (or not-so-good substrate).
