D.Tityus female sluggish?

i put my male D. Tityus with another female a week ago, and then realized that she was toppling over really easily. I also noticed she had no grip this time, and I separated the two and appropiately placed the female into a egg laying enclosure. I am extremely concerned

I was curious what happened with this situation? My first female to go into an egg-laying container was behaving like this a couple of days ago. I noticed the top couple inches of her substrate seemed a little drier than normal so I gave it a good mist-n-mix, and replaced her food. She spent two days buried in the jelly cup, and now she seems to be back to normal.

My male, on the other hand, wasn't moving at all yesterday, to the point I thought he was dead already. His legs were just splayed out and he was completely non-responsive to any prodding. The only way I knew he was still alive was his antennae. I did the same misting/feeding and he too was face-first in the jelly this morning, so hopefully he turns out the same way. They're CB and were overwintering when I got them. I've only have him 2 months, and I'd really like him to live long enough to fertilize my other two females (who are being extremely stubborn with coming out of overwintering despite being in a 78°+ room).

Fingers are crossed that yours turned out alright!

Darn man... thing is that mine died miserably. She would stop falling on her back and I would have to help her every hour. Also, I offered food, but she wouldn't eat.

I still have one in the egg-laying container luckily, but I hope your little dude hangs in there

Ahhh that sucks. Sorry to hear that. He's still hanging in there for now, so I'm hoping it was just an odd spell.

Best of luck with eggs, fingers are crossed for you!
