Good day folks. Thanks in advance for any answers.
I have read that play sand could be a quick and cheap substrate for blue feigning beetles. First off is this true?
Secondly I have read it needs to be cleaned first but I'm not certain how to go about that. My plan was just to throw it in the oven for 30mins. Would that suffice?
Bonus question : would a cheap Tupperware with holes in the lid suffice for a makeshift enclosure for a month or two? Blue death feigning beetles seem very hardy and low maintenance so that's where I'm starting. Long term I do plan on getting a proper enclosure and adding more beetles to the collection.
Thanks again for having me
I appreciate any and all advice. (If you have pointers of any sort please share) As you can tell I'm new to the hobby and I'm wicked excited to start but I'm strapped for cash so looking for cheap ways to start but plan on investing more over time.
