So...

What are folks current thoughts on these guys in terms of breeding and egg laying in captivity? I know a lot of us here have probably kept them. I've kept them half-heartedly in the past, losing interest after a few days to a few weeks and setting them free. Anyone really tried to get a colony going? If so, what were your observations? Feeding is a breeze, as is mating; but did you ever get larvae?

 
Not many people have had luck breeding these, all my attempts at breeding carabids have failed. Orin is one of the few that were able to get eggs and rear larva, but they were weak and he does not know what made them lay their eggs.
