Blue Death Feigners

So my BDF Beetles just laid eggs (huurah!) though I'm a bit at a loss of what to do next. We aren't expecting them to be a successful clutch but all the same, I'd like to set them up for success! I've decided to keep the eggs in with the adults, but are their any factors they need that adults don't like? High humidity or temperature?

Thanks everybody.

Knowing the setup would help

If you can pick them out safely, then separating them may produce less cannibalization between the adults and their own eggs. With Eleodes, there is no problem with leaving the eggs and even larva in with the adults. But I have never kept the BDFB's so I don't know if they eat their own eggs.

What sort of substrate do you use? If you separate the eggs then probably the same as the tank would be fine, or coconut coir would be fine probably.

I haven't seen any attempt at egg canibalism yet. My current tank set up is a mix between cocunut fiber substrate and desert sand. I'll post some pictures soon.

Hmm... maybe Orin or Peter will drop by as they know a bit more about BDFB's.
