Hiya! I'm looking to put together my first beetle set-up, but I'm actually pretty overwhelmed as to how to actually source a beetle or substrate! I want to raise some Dynastes tityus, and was thinking about purchasing a kit from Insect Brothers. That way I'd get a larva as well as a batch of substrate ready to use while I'm making my own substrate). Is this a wise choice? If not, what would you suggest?

Alternatively, I could get a bunch of pre-made substrate and then go beetle hunting, but I've never done that before either and am not sure what the success rate would be with wild caught beetles and a total beginner trying to wrangle them!
