Many people out there thrive to have the most beautiful beetles from around the world. However it is illegal to possess invasive species in some countries. This forum is dedicated for fun and only to see which beetles people want or interest them the most. I will start by sharing my wish list down below.

1) Cheirotonous macleayi formosanus pair

2) Cyclommatus metallifer finae pair

3) Dorcus titanus palawanicus pair

4) Mecynorrhina polyphemus confluens pair

5) Phalacrognathus muelleri pair

Finally, just about ANY Hercules type beetle.

It seems that we do not have much restriction here, in the UK, for import of small number of tropical species, mostly likely due to the cold climate.

However, I have this restriction in our house, as my beetle cupboard does not have much space:)

So sometimes some of my favorites have to go so that new favorites could move in:)

And then I buy oldies again:)

My favorite are in order:

1. Mecynorrhina Ugandensis

2. Rainbow stags

3. Dynastes granti

4. Protaetia aeruginosa

5. Megasoma elephas

6. Protaetia speciosa jousselini

7. Prosopocoilus bison

8. Cyclommatus Metallifer

9. Dynastes Hercules spp

10. Goliathus spp

check out some of these on my flickr

By the was

I also really want to try Phanaeus vindex, it looks just amazing

but finding some dung could be problematic.

Does anyone kept these at home?

I'd like to find some beetles of the family Chrysomelidae. They're so beautiful and would look great in my slowly building collection. Such as Calligrapha rowena, philadelphica, and alni. And I absolutely love the way weevils look too. I suppose I'm speaking more in the terms of for collection and not so much rearing myself, but I could perhaps do that also. Not sure much anything on keeping those beetles though.

Yes, of course. Basically everything in my list I've acquired except one.

I've always wanted Lamprima aldophinae. preserved or alive, I'd never had a chance to have one. I find them gorgeous!

Does anyone in the hobby raise Darwin's beetles? Chasiognathus grantii?

klawfran3, I wish! Those were the hardest ones for me to find in the hobby. Always wanted to get some of those!

These beetles are what I hope to keep in the future. Right now I'm happy with the three that I have Dynastes tityus and Dynastes hercules hercules.

Allomyrina dichotomus

Mecynorhina polyphemus

Dynastes satanas

If there was a working like button here, I'd like your post OrchidAlchemist. How many mm is your Dhh?
Thanks and I just checked on them on yesterday and my larger of the two is now a L2 and the smaller one is still L1. I'm hoping to sex them soon once they get large enough but so far they are happy.
