Are artificial plants safe for beetles?

I have been eyeing up some artificial bonsai trees for my beetles,(rhyssonotus nebulosus) and wounding if artificial plants and such are good for beetles.

Thanks for your time, a beginner beetle keeper.

I have used fake plants from the dollar store (For fake bouquets) and reptile/fish decorations all with no issue. Just avoid anything super sharp or easy to tip over and they should be just fine. Rough decorations may also damage tarsal claws so I’d watch for textures too.

Not beetle specific, but with my limited experience in raising mantids, feeder bugs(particularly flying insects) and sometimes the mantids themselves, can get

hung up and trapped within the fake, suction cupped, plastic vegetation that sticks to the side of a glass terrarium.
