Put maybe 14 jellies in but make sure they get sprayed every day.
I travel few times a year, too. I usually put them in cool temp, around 60F~66F. Cold temp slows the beetles down a little, and lowers the decay speed of the jellies. Leave 3 jellies in the containers. and don't peel the whole top off. use a clean knife and slice a + sign on the top. A lot of Dorcus can handle this without any problem. Rhino beetles will need a lot more food.
Since you live in Japan, its less dry there compared to the States I think. and the Beetle shops sells professional containers that keeps the moisture level longer. Containers in the stats have too much air flow..... : /
