    Giant Ladybug?

    I found a beetle that is w about 1 inch long, dull orange, with 6 black spots on wing covers, two on thorax, and a blk/org head.  Reminds me of a ladybug only 10 times bigger. I'm located near Rome NY. Unable to indentify yet online. Wondering what it is?  : )
