Beetle pupa horn is bent over

@JKim It's a Dynastes species so I suppose he'll just be a little funny looking. If he's physically good other than his horn then we're good. I may make some artificial pupal cells for the other ones about to pupate since they're in the same size/shape enclosure. I didn't think it was too...

Beetle pupa horn is bent over

Hey all, I just had a beetle pupate the last couple days and it seems it's horn is bent over. Will this resolve or will I just have a lopsided beetle? I'll see if I can get some pictures. It built it pupal cell against the edge of it's enclosure.

    Wanted: Giant Vinegaroon Male/Mastigoproctus giganteus

I'm looking for a sexed male Giant Vinegaroon! I would like to start breeding them so I do need verification of their sex. Sexing is fairly simple and can be done visually with a clear look/picture of it's underside. In a similar vein, also would be interested in Asian Forest Scorpions.

Will lagging larvae disturb developing pupae?

I was wondering if a larva in a container with pupae would disturb them I have 3 larvae in the same container with 2 being L3 and one is lagging at L2. With the L3s looking like they will pupate within the next few months, should I separate them? Any real concern with keeping them together?

Megasoma Sleeperi - First time owner

Update for those who are interested! They have now been rehoused in a mixture of the edible compost and crumbled up rotten oak (as small as I could manage without any tools, mostly into a powdery dust just not entirely, it was pretty well rotted). I packed the majority of it down and left the...

Megasoma Sleeperi - First time owner

Owned various insects before, but this will be my first time raising beetles from their Larval state. Just wanted to see if there's anything I'm missing in my care. Right now they are in these small cups, which I will be upgrading soon so I can better maintain humidity (the small cups seem to...

Grew up catching and raising bugs and have now recently gotten into inverts as a hobby. I have a handful of Blue Death Feigning Beetles as well as some Sleeper's Elephant Beetle Larvae.
