    Darkling Beetles

    I found 30+ when I went out bugging yesterday. I'd say there ranging from .75" the smallest one through 2" the largest one. Right now I have them feeding on dry dog food, and there mateing 24/7. Oh by the way these are the largest darkling beetles I have Ever seen.

    Costs Rican Crested anole

    I know it's a specie of darkling beetle, but I don't know it's specific scientific name. This one is the biggest darkling beetle I have ever seen. It's back also has this weird patter. I caught it last week in Sonoma ca in a woodpile next to a creek. Any ideas?
