i had about 8 pairs of ceruchus but when i checked today, they were dead and had think white mold all over their body.... why did they die? ( it died during winter dormancy)

for those larvae that didnt build proper pupae cell and just pupaed on the surface, do i lay them upsidedown or what? because one of my stag beetle emerged and it had trouble turning it self over so it crushed its wings...

so if you have been following my post, i have collected 3 pairs from the wild... in WA... i accidentally woke them up from dormancy and it laid some eggs.... about 20-30 depending on female size.... then it died shortly... now they became L1 and i think some became L2??? enjoy...

my set up looks like this.... i willl add more wood and leaves for more cover soon... some red pine wood that i found it in and some sand of egg laying??? little slope to mimic its natural habitat for some reason, my camera macro stopped working for some reason.... those jaws...
