Such an interesting and beautiful species, are there any records of them being bred in captivity? I keep on hearing they are either extremely hard to breed or that there is no proof anybody has bred them in captivity. I have four adults that have been with me for a while now, they seem content...

What are the benefits of using oak vs alder in beetle culture? Has anybody tried fermenting alder into flakesoil? Just wondering.

well... it's going to be a surprise once they eclose... at this point I dunno what species they could be, although I can say they are likely L1's and they were found in S. rugosum territory...so, here's hoping.

Hello, I found this literally outside my house, on the first step off the door. I believe it's a Polyphylla sp., possibly cavifrons; though I'm just basing myself on some light reading done overnight. Has anybody kept these, and if so, can you offer any tips? Thanks, OM
