My blue death feigning beetle tank

My blue death feigning beetle tank. 5.5 gallon tank. It's a little "pimped" out with some stuff from the pet store, but the wood, leaves, and rocks were collected outdoors. The "rocks" are actually pieces of petrified wood. Some pieces of bark, fake plants, cholla wood, and some oak leaf litter...

For Bess beetles- how often do you mist/how moist do you keep substrate?

The topic title speaks for itself- just wondering if any Bess beetle owners know the right amount of humidity? Do you just spray the sides of the tank or the substrate as well? After switching to a mesh lid and lightly spraying sides, I noticed the substrate getting a little dry. Thanks!

I know deserts can get really cold at night, but beetles have the natural environment to work with. This old house...

Using Eco Earth substrate for blue death feigning beetles?

Hi everyone- just wondering if anyone uses Eco Earth or anyone type of coconut/soil substrate by itself? Initially I started with play sand mixed with coconut coir, but it seemed a little too moist, and the beetles didn't seem to like it. The shop I picked the beetles up at use dry Eco Earth by...
