    Burnt plastic exposure

Alright so Thursday of last week I was heating thumbtacks to add air holes in deli cup tops for my beetle larvae. I had a mask on and was doing this in the garage, almost outside. I did this for about 30 minutes. When I got up, everything was different. It felt like I was stoned out of my mind...

    7 days, eggs already

Already had my rhinoceros beetle and flower beetle pair for a week when I checked the breeding box. The substrate in the breeding box had slight condensation so I wanted to dry it out a little bit. When I was going through it, I found a lot of eggs already. I was very surprised! First picture is...

Below we have some substrate great for raising certain stag beetle and rhinoceros beetle larvae. I will not list the source that...

Major male rhino beetle horn broken off, probably going to die.

During shipping, the tip of the horn on my major male rhinoceros beetle cracked off. It is now leaking a white substance. There's probably nothing I could do for him, right? If there is, please let me know. So pissed about this.

Import permit, would you do it under this circumstance?

I want to import at least 3 species, one being the recently legal Goliathus goliathus. The process seems easy but the last step is entering my social security number on the site. It is required so there is no way around it. I am paranoid about identity theft, etc. I just get worked up about that...

Found these two fat, juicy larvae in a rotting oak log today. Any idea on what species they are? I live in CT. Also, should I keep them in this log or transport them into an enclosure filled with rotting wood?
