My L2 Dynastes Granti larva died, i don't know what's the reason. He molted on the surface of the substrate on7/15/12. Then died today. For some reason, he didn't go back in the substrate. The substrate was moist. So...anyone know what's the reason?

i just checked my L1 D.Granti larva..he came out on the surface of the substrate. I think it was more than 10 hours. So i thought it was a substrate problem, and i changed the substrate, and he still does the same. he stays still and keeps bending his legs. Anyone know what's happening?

I know that most of you feed your beetles beetle jelly, but isn't it bad for them? I prefer fruits or Saps from trees, because beetle jellies are artifical... or am i wrong..
