its horns are on the protonum and not the head the horns are used to impress the female so they can mate

but lucanus capreolus is reddish brown so it would camoflauge with the log and the hercules beetle would be lifting wood and wasting energy, when lucanus capreolus would strike!

yeah good luck trying to pick up a beetle such as Dynastes hercules herules with a cheap beetle like lucanus capreolus iv seen hercules beetles throw stags like four feet across a floor or kill it with its power!

but, Lucanus capreolus would drink a ton of sugary tree sap, which it could handle, and puke it up into the hercules beetle's mouth, and make the beetle drunk from too much sugar.
