I found a male June beetle on my back patio and am trying to figure out safe housing for him. I’m currently keeping him in a pretty large mason jar and around a foot of soil and gave him some banana. How can I upgrade my setup and keep him healthy and safe? I love him so much and wanna keep him happy and healthy!

Unfortunately it likely won't live much longer, if you are just trying to keep it alive you can keep it on a couple of inches of coco fiber and feed it beetle jellies or fruits (not citrus)
should I release him so he could have a longer life? Or is he just gonna end up passing soon regardless? He’s been burrowing a lot
