I am noticing some patterns here and detective Ratmosphere is on the case. I recommend reading out loud for a better understanding.

The last user selling Dynastes tityus on the forum (tityuscollector) put their title as "Tityus for sale" while this individual (Spergie) put "Tityus Adults for Sale!". These titles are very similar but lack the genus name and go straight to the species name of "Tityus". You would think a user would put the whole scientific name in the title if they had no relation to the last person. This was never something I would think about connecting if it wasn't for the similar response times between the two users. As I look more into it, the weirder it becomes.

As we know, tityuscollector had a bunch of interest on their last ad but went ghost on everyone. I notice a similarity between how these individuals respond. They will respond once and not reply again. I sent Spergie a few messages after he responded, and he never responded again. Spergie did appear online for at least 3 times after my messages, so there is a high probability that he saw them. This is the same behavior shown by tityuscolletor. I get it, people get busy in life and may not be able to respond right away! But the same behavioral patterns make you wonder.

Lastly, I notice that these two users have similarly priced beetles at the same size. Tityuscollector messaged me stating his are $50 each, and Spergie has a very similar range of pricing. As we know, this is very affordable for such a hard to come by species, and Spergie looks to have numerous pairs as well. Maybe he is just a breeder looking to sell his extra pairs? Potentially. Do I think these two users could be connected and be the same person under two separate accounts? Absolutely. Are they scammers, spammers, or legit? Nobody knows.

So I ask you BeetleForum members; have you gotten multiple responses from Spergie? Am I going nuts for thinking this way? Spergie, if you are innocent, please clear the air. What's the goal here, bud? We have many people on here (including myself) willing to purchase these pairs but do not want to waste our time. Just be transparent! Communication is key.

I’ve also noticed a weird amount of sketchy tityus sellers, good thing you’re looking into it. The guy who I made a post about pm’d me afterwards cursing me out, but not addressing any of his issues nor cleared his name. I think something’s up lol.
 
I'm glad you called him out! We don't want people getting scammed on here. Even if Spergie is legit, the lack of communication is very unprofessional and makes you wonder how he'd even handle packing and shipping these beetles. Sucks because I wanted to buy multiple pairs. When it seems too good to be true, it usually is!
