Cute Arizona Megasoma

They bred very well so far, over 30 eggs, though some do have the infamous egg mites on them. Hope most of them do hatch, and the females are still laying. I will have to clean them throughly and use new substrate...

 
I wonder if it's posible to use charcoal or aspen shavings to get rid of egg mites. I would probably remove the larvae right after they hatch if I were to use these types of materials.
