Can someone help me identify this beetle??

I uploaded a pic of a beetle that has appeared on my horse ranch and I am curious as to what kind it is... From my research so far, it could possibly be some kind of Longhorn maybe??

It's the Iron Cross Blister Beetle- Tegrodera latecincta.

Now we have to warn our neighbors (who own horses) about this because it says it could be fatal to horses and animals if eaten

I'd appreciate it if you could list your source for that bit of information. I'd be surprised if that were true, but I don't necessarily EVER doubt nature's abilities (or my own ignorance of the millions and millions of bugs I'll never even see, let alone learn something about).
