One of my blue death beetle larvae is either molting or turning into a pupa...I can't tell right now...but it doesn't look as big as the other grub I've seen in the tank so maybe it's just molting? It's snow white right now.

I couldn't find a similar topic so I'm asking- how long? Some people I know barely change it, and I'm just wondering due to all the larvae. I assume you'd have to search but it seems like it would be a pretty long search to try to pull all the larvae out, especially if there's always eggs! But...

I'm sure this has happened before, but last night I noticed a fungus gnat larvae in with my ironclad larvae! Has this ever happened to anyone? I tried to separate them but the larvae all hid when I was digging around. I'm worried about it trying to eat my ironclad larvae.

Anyone know if this weird white spot on my beetle is normal, or what it could be? The area around the spot always stays dark, and it feels just as hard as the rest of the body, but looks almost like a weird white crust, but flat. I can't tell if it's getting bigger, it looks about the same as...

Went to Mojave (around the poppy reserve area and Ripley park) and found lots of insects! A cool find was 2 pairs of mating blister beetles. No collecting, photos only. If anyone can identify anything else, please do- especially that red guy with wings on the purple flowers.
